Why did my R1 Pro ebike start automatically when I stepped on the pedals?
The automatic start of your bicycle when you step on the pedals is due to the specific calibration of the torque sensor. The sensor is designed to have a very sensitive start-up reaction, meaning it doesn't require a full pedal rotation before the motor kicks in. The R1 Pro, in particular, supports uphill starts with motor power syncing perfectly with pedal force, and there is no delay.
The unique feature of the torque sensor is that the motor output is directly related to the pedal force. When you pedal harder, the motor outputs more power, and when you pedal lightly, it gives less power.

Yes it is. We use a quick-release seat post clamp mechanism in all of our bikes, which makes for swift and simple adjustments.

Our bikes are water and dust resistant, rated IP54. This means that they can be ridden in the rain, but we would still advise against leaving them exposed to the elements. We would also recommend cleaning your bikes with a damp cloth instead of hosing them down, to prevent damage to any components.
